School Building.
Dear
Parents/Guardians,
Yesterday
afternoon the Department of Education and Skills announced its List of Major
School Building Projects for 2016-2021.
The new
school to accommodate the amalgamation of Scoil Eimhín Naofa and St. Peter’s
Boys’ N.S. is scheduled to go to construction in 2017.
This
announcement represents significant progress in bringing this project to
fruition.

Re: Update regarding Amalgamation of St Peter’s
N.S. and Scoil Eimhín Naofa.
Dear Parents / Guardians,
In recent months a Steering Committee for the new school has been established and this Committee has had a number of contacts with officials of the Department of Education and Skills.
We have now been informed that:
· The Department of Education and Skills has commenced the Tender Process for the appointment of a Design Team for the new school.
· The new amalgamated school building will be located on the site of Scoil Eimhín Naofa.
· Scoil Eimhín Naofa and St. Peter’s N.S. will amalgamate when the building is fully completed and ready for use.
· The Department of Education and Skills has given no timeframe as to when this process will be fully completed.
We will provide you with further updates as matters progress.
