On Thursday, June 7th, 2012, the pupils of St. Evinís School donated Ä500 from their Mission Collection to Ailish Brennan.

Ailish is a past-pupil of our school. This summer she went to India for seven weeks. She worked with very poor children in a remote area. She taught them English, Maths, Music and Geography in school.

All our money was used to buy things these children need. They received food, clothes, books, school supplies and toiletries. Our money also went towards the purchase of new beds so that each child could have a personal space in the large dormitories.

We are very proud that one of our own girls volunteered to do this great work.

In September 2012, Ailish revisited the school and spoke to the children about her volunteer work in India, and how she put our money to very good use.
