Sean was elected to the Dail in 2002 having previously been elected to the Seanad. He is married to Mary Clare and they have four children.
Career History:
Sean was a member of Kildare County Council from 1985 until his election to the Dail. During his time in the Council he served as Chairman if the County Kildare Strategic Policy Committee on Housing and Social Integration. He served as a member of the ERHA. He was a member of the Vocational Educational Committee and was its Chairman.
He was elected to the Seanad in 2000 after a Bye-election and was elected to the Dail in 2002.
He is a member of the Agriculture Committee and Justice Committee in the Houses of the Oireachtas.
He is a founder director of Chill Dara Housing Association, Monasterevin Housing Association and Chill Urnai Housing Association.
