In Focus... Irish Shorts Screening

The Arts Service, Kildare County Council will screen a selection of Short Irish Films in Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge on Wednesday 26th November at 8.00pm.
The programme curated by David Freyne features a host of films representing the best of Ireland's various short film schemes and showcases local emerging filmmakers from Kildare. David originally from Newbridge is currently working on a documentary under the Filmbase / Setanta Sports Short Documentary scheme.
Screenings on the night will include films from two Maynooth filmmakers. 'Rapunzel, The Blonde Years' written and produced by Trish Groves and 'The Legend' directed by Shannon Moncrief. Mairtin De Barra’s Tart, made through the Filmbase Short Film Award and Jamie Hannigan’s Two Point Five Billion which highlight’s The Irish Film Board’s Signatures Scheme. A question and answer session with all these filmmakers will follow the screenings. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet established filmmakers, network, chat and discuss short film in Ireland.
