Easter Bank Holiday Weekend

I will send out a Txt Monday with reply date of Tuesday April 19th to get numbers for the Easter Bank Holiday weekend in Kilkiernan Bay, Annaghvaan next weekend.

 
Dive conditions Patrick's Day were excellent - Viz was 7 - 10mt with loads of life inhabiting the crevises in the gully under neath the Lighthouse - lobster, ling, large wrasse, plaice, shrimp, squat lobster, crab, weaver,..........

Dive cylinders will be filled in Club House on Wednesday evenings 8 - 9pm.

If you get a loan of a full dive cylinder - give it back full - refill it for the owner.

44 x members have now completed their mandatory snorkels and provided they have an indate medical, sucessfully completed their pool fitness test and digitally signed off on their medical disclaimer on CFT COMS they are ready to dive.

Do not forget to digitally sign off your medical disclaimer on CFT COMS online.

Pool Fitness Training

Pool training is there to enable all club members to train and get water fit. We have made arrangements to get into pool changing rooms at 7.45pm for a 8pm start. Please arrive on time and complete the full training session. There seems to be some connection between those members that arrive late or don't pool train and those who are unfit?

You won't get fit for scuba diving watching TV so get to the pool training early!

Pool fitness dates in Curragh pool are as follows:

1.       Thursday December 9th (Cancelled due to bad weather)
2.       Thursday January 20th.30 x Members had indate Medicals/Logbook + Passed Test
3.       Thursday February 17th -  11 x Members had indate Medicals/Logbook + Passed Test
4.       Thursday March 10th     2 x Members had indate Medicals/Logbook + Passed Test
There will be NO open water fitness test, all water fitness tests will be conducted in the Curragh Pool.
You will need to bring your logbook which will have to have an in date medical. No Logbook/in Date medical – No pool fitness test. (This is to cut down on time spent with online registration) = My Time!

Trainee and Club Diver lectures will commence at 2pm on the following dates:

All members are welcome and encouraged to attend these lectures which are free of charge.
Venue will most likely be Lawler’s Hotel, Naas but please check before coming.
