Conservation Grants 2019

Conservation Grants 2019

Built Heritage Investment Scheme 2019

Kildare County Council in conjunction with the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht are inviting applications for conservation projects for buildings contained on the Record of Protected Structures and in Architectural Conservation Areas within County Kildare under the following schemes:

Built Heritage Investment Scheme 2019

This scheme will support small scale, labour intensive conservation projects. The minimum level of funding awarded will be €2,500 up to a maximum of €15,000 per application.

Historic Structures Fund 2019

This scheme replaces the Structures at Risk Scheme and offers funding in 2 streams;

Stream 1 offers grants from €15,000 - €50,000 aimed at essential repairs and smaller capital works for the refurbishment and conservation of heritage structures

Stream 2 offers a smaller number of grants from €50,000 to €200,000 for larger enhancement, refurbishment or reuse projects involving heritage structures, where a clear community or public benefit is demonstrated.

Both schemes operate on a match funding basis and all applications must be accompanied by a method statement.

Application forms, full details of both schemes and eligibility criteria are available from our website http://kildare.ie/CountyCouncil/Planning/ProtectedStructures/ or by emailing conservation@kildarecoco.ie

Closing date: 4 p.m. on 31st January 2019.
