Curragh Continue to Improve Training Grounds

World class training facilities for thoroughbreds.

Work has recently been completed on the refurbishment of the Little Curragh, the round all weather wood chip gallop used by some of Ireland’s top trainers.

Trainer Willie McCreery commented:

“I am delighted with the gallop and very impressed by the new surface which will be a great asset for myself and other trainers who use it on a regular basis.”

Additional refurbishments are expected to take place over the next year as part of an overall strategy to continue to improve the overall facilities and advance the Curragh position as one of the world’s leading training facilities for thoroughbred horses.

Derek McGrath CEO of the Curragh Racecourse said:

“We are delighted with the work carried out on the Little Curragh by contractor Peter Keatley and his team. We have a strong commitment to enhance our training facilities in order to ensure they give Curragh trainers the very best chance of winning races and attracting owners.”
