A formal presentation to award winners in 8 categories took place on Friday night last, 22nd March in the Athy Heritage Centre Museum.

The Athy Town Promoters Group was formed in 2009 and is committed to proactively promoting the 'Celebrate Athy' theme through festivals and events in our town.  The group is comprised of representatives of Athy Chamber, Shop Athy, Athy Town Council, Athy Tidy Towns, Athy Young at Heart, Kildare County Show Committee, Outdoor Tourism Project and the Athy Heritage Centre-Museum. The organisers acknowledge the grateful assistance of the Athy Gardai, Civil Defence, Order of Malta and Kildare County Council (Athy Area Office).
