Leslie Kelly joins Kildare & District F.L. Senior Management team with Ex - Celtic player Paul Byrne.
Monasterevin AFC’s Senior manager Leslie Kelly has been brought in to the Management team of the Kildare & District Football League Senior team with ex Celtic player Paul Byrne. Leslie who in his first year with Monasterevin AFC guided them to 4th in the Senior League. Monasterevin AFC wish Leslie the best with the K.D.F.L. team who will be competing in the Oscar Traynor Trophy against other Nationwide Leagues. The K.D.F.L. have been drawn in Group 9 with the Defence Forces and The Leinster Senior League. Should they top this group they play the winners of Group 8 which have Wexford, Kilkenny & Watherford. Games start 5th December 2010. Also best of Luck to the Monasterevin players attempting to get on this panel. Jimmy Gorry and David Murphy (Gday Spud) have represented our club over the last few seasons on this K.D.F.L. team.
Daniel Dee plays for Kildare & District F.L. Youths.
Congradulations to Daniel Dee who played with the Kildare & District Football League Youth Team last week end. Unfortunately they were defeated by a strong Wicklow team 3-0 down in Arklow . Its fantastic that Daniels talent has been recognised and we wish him well with his remaining games against Carlow and Wexford.

The first ever Monasterevin AFC Girls Team were involved in a mini Blitz played at Tougher Park, Newbridge. The team of 11 girls, Under 12’s and Under 14’s played two games and went undefeated with a 6-0 win and a 1 - 1 draw. Patsy Kelly manager of the girls team was happy with their first outing and looks forward to the season ahead.
