Media2007 : 2006 : 2005 : 2004 : 2003 : 2002 02 February, 2005 The awards raise awareness of the innovators and forward thinkers who are pioneering the changes happening in the delivery of Government services to its citizens. They also highlight public sector innovation and expertise. This is a major honour for the county portal website and shows it to be a leader in government, community, and business website portal development in Ireland. It is the only county or town portal to be included in the shortlist this year. The other nominees in their category are: Aer Lingus (www.aerlingus.com) and the National Concert Hall (www.nch.ie) The Kildare County Council website (www.kildare.ie/countycouncil/) has also been shortlisted for an award in the category "Local Government". This is a major recognition for the website and makes it one of the top three local authority websites in the country. The other nominees in this category are: Monaghan (www.monaghancoco.ie) and Donegal County Council (www.donegal.ie/dcc/) This is the 3rd Annual Irish eGovernment Awards and in the past finalists and winners have proven to be Irish eGovernment Internet Leaders. The Awards Ceremony will take place in Trinity College, Dublin on Wednesday,
