The Kildare Business Advice Shop

The Kildare County Enterprise Board, through its Business Advisory Service, offers a range of services to small enterprises in the county on a multi-sectoral basis.

Through the staff of the Board, and specifically the Business Advisory Executive, the Board provides the following services:

• Information and advice on available public sector grants and loans, especially County Enterprise Board Funding.
• Advice and direction on establishing and running a small enterprise, including business plans, marketing, patents etc.
• Access to information through the Kildare County Enterprise Network.
• Information on available premises in the County.
• Assistance in the preparation of applications for funding under national programmes.
• Information on access to a range of supports available from the Board in the form of direct financial assistance.
• The Plato (Management Development) Programme
• The Mentor (Business Advice and Counselling) Programme
• The Kildare Linkage Programme
• Marketing Development Programme
• Technical Innovation Programme
• Young Entrepreneurs Programme
• The Board will endeavour to continually update its services

Kildare Enterprise Shop

The Board established, in conjunction with other local development agencies, the Kildare Enterprise Shop in an accessible, well-advertised, customer friendly location at The Woods, Clane, Co. Kildare. The shop will be the focal point for anyone seeking information, advice and help in relation to enterprise development and other local development opportunities.

The Board intends to establish satellite support centres and a mobile unit. At the time of preparation of this document the Board also intends to use information technology/remote links to disseminate information as widely as possible.

Additional Information is also available on parallel EU Programmes which also operate in the County, including Operational Programmes and the European Initiatives e.g. Operational Programmes for Tourism; Agriculture; Maritime Interreg (Joint Ireland/Wales Programme which includes County Kildare); Employment (Horizon, Adapt, Youthstart etc.); Article 10 Programmes (Recite etc.); Konver; Retex etc.
