"The Liberty Tree"
The"Liberty Tree" was raised by United Irishmen as a symbol of liberty during the ‘98 rebellion.
Kildare County Council will assist any local community wishing to honour this tradition by planting a tree.
Kildare County Council will honour Lord Edward Fitzgerald and his association with Kildare Town where he lived with his family.
Details will be published separately.
