Naas Union - April 6th, 1839

Page 1 Column e

The Poor Law Commissioners are desirous of obtaining about six statute acres of land, within a convenient distance of the town of Naas, for the site of a workhouse intended to be built for the above union.

Land possessing the following advantages would be preferred: - Convenient access, level surface, good substratum, sufficient means of drainage, and supply of water, and contiguity to building materials. The land must be of such a shape as to allow of a plot from 350 to 400 yards sq. The Poor Law Act enables persons under strict settlement to sell to the Commissioners.

The tenure must be at least a lease renewable for ever, but the fee would be preferred. Parties desirous of disposing of land for the above purpose, are requested to forward their offers in writing to the POOR LAW COMMISSIONERS, Dublin, on or before 18th instant.
