Not Only is the new book by Mario Corrigan a walking tour guide and heritage trail for Kildare Town it is a practical guide for would be tour guides on how to arrange and give a walking tour. Kildare Footprints will be launched in Kildare Education Centre on Wednesday night, 11 July, 7.15 p.m. by James Cannon, Chairman of the Centre. All are welcome.

Kildare and indeed the history of the nation - the 1928 All-Ireland Football Final - the first year the Sam Maguire Trophy was awarded and sadly the last year that Co. On Saturday and Sunday May 26th & 27th the ninth running of the Royal Irish Automobile Club’s Pioneer Run will take place based at Barberstown Castle Hotel and travelling through parts of Counties Kildare and Meath.
Now firmly established as Ireland’s premier event for early cars and motorcycles, the RIAC Pioneer Run caters for cars over one hundred years old and celebrates the heritage of Ireland’s pioneering automobilists, for whom every journey was an unpredictable
