Louisa Bridge - Car Park
On the 3rd of May 2007 we first reported on the new carpark at Louisa bridge. There were approx. 130 free spaces at noon on that day. We returned on the 28th of February (at the same time and a Thursday also) and found that the carpark was completely full with some cars 'double parked'.
Irish Rail has opened the new carpark at Louisa Bridge. There is a somewhat controversal charge of €2 per day or €5 per week. Irish Rail project manager, Mr. Michael Power stated that this 'modest' charge is to help cover the cost of the security cameras and lighting in the carpark.
As we can see from the last two photos below at 11.55 am on 3rd of May not one car was parked along the verge at Station Road/Cedar Park/Oaklawn West. This is very welcome, as LTTA would like to do some planting along there in the future.
At first glance from Louisa Bridge, it looks as if the car park is full

On further inspection we can see that there are lots of vacant spaces (over 130 at noon on 03 May)
