Warlock - spirit of rock

KILDARE, 1 November 2002: On Friday 8th November a group of guys from Kildare and Newbridge will re-unite to celebrate the 20th anniversary of one of the first ever heavy rock bands formed in Kildare.

Warlock played music from Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy and other rock giants carving out a name for themselves as a formidable live act. Having fronted Mamas Boys and played gigs and open air festivals throughout the county the boys drifted their separate ways playing in many other bands along the way.
Warlock are Martin Doyle, Richard Fizsimons, John Joe (GONZO) Houlihan, Kevin (PUD) Barrett and Mario Corrigan.

Some years back they played together purely for fun in Lil Flanagans in Kildare but now they are to resurrect the sort of show that made them a cut above the rest all those years ago.

While the boys have been working hard to put the show together they are also aware that there is a fun element involved and promise an evening of entertainment to all who attend. They will be preceded by special guests THE NAKED TOENAILS and SWEET REVENGE and the gig will start at 10pm. .

Doors open at 9, Geraldine Room, Silken Thomas Kildare. 9pm–12.30am. Admission E5. The gig is in aid of the MICHAEL GARRY HOUSE FOR THE HOMELESS.
