Tourism Task Force meeting
NEWBRIDGE: 8 June 2001: by Trish Whelan. A Taskforce on Kildare Tourism was held in Hotel Keadeen, Newbridge, last Friday. The Taskforce is comprised of Kildare County Council, KELT, County Kildare Failte, Midlands East Regional Tourism Authority and CERT.
Its purpose is to take an overview of tourism in the county as it currently stands, and to make recommendations on the actions needed in order for the industry to achieve its potential over the next 5-10 years.
The meeting was deiigne to have an input from a wide range of tourism and related interests. It will prepare a report with its recommendations on the future development of tourism in County Kildare. The views expressed at the Forum will feed into the work of the Taskforce.
