Paul Keogh for Riverbank

17 July 2003: The Riverbank Arts Centre is the venue for Newbridge-born musician Paul Keogh on Thursday 24 July. Paul’s last performance here was in February 2002, with a sell-out gig.

Paul decided to take the musical path at a time when he felt people wanted to experience more original talent with a fresh approach to Irish rock. He says that he is inspired by U2 and other Irish groups of the same genre. Now playing for over a year and a half he has gathered dedicated fans to his distinctive mode of stage performance.

Paul has been playing in venues all around Ireland gathering a reputation as a musician with the gift of creating his own material and providing his audiences with a night of pure enjoyment.

Paul also spent four months in New York, where he successfully played in venues around Manhattan and Yonkers, delighting Irish and American audiences. His band consists of some of the most talented musicians in Kildare to complement his unique style as a singer-songwriter.
