Patricks Day plans

NEWBRIDGE 17 January 2003: Street entertainment based around the Riverbank Centre will mark St Patrick's Day in Newbridge, following a decision by the Chamber of Commerce not to take part in a St Patrick's Day Parade.

The events are being organised by a committee led by town mayor Colm Feeney, and will include the Patrician Pipe and Brass Band and Irish dancing.

A concert is also under consideration to follow the outdoor entertainment.
