Credit Union looks for major expansion

13 October 2003: A planning application by Newbridge Credit Union envisages a quadrupling of the current size of the premises.

The project will involve the demolition of four houses adjacent to existing Credit Union facility.

If implemented, the plan includes access to the facility from the nearby shopping centre owned by Tom Treacy.

Newbridge Credit Union has a membership of 25,000 and assets of €127 million.
