NAAS, 11 June 2002: by Bill Trapman. A four-star hotel, leisure, and office/residential complex at Rathasker Road in Naas will include car parking for 600 vehicles when it is completed next year.
According to developers Kildare Estates, the Osprey project - which includes 66 apartments on an eight-acre site - ‘a number of’ the spaces will be underground.
A 20-metre pool is planned in the leisure element of the complex, which also has space for what is described as ‘an entertainment centre’.
The project will be serviced, according to the developers, by an access road to be built to service the proposed new Civic Offices for Kildare County Council and for residential developement on the adjoining Devoy Barracks site.
It is not clear when work will begin on this access road, or if it will be completed in time for use by the Osprey Hotel and its associated development as soon as the project is up and running.
