Naas 'should have brochure, video'

NAAS 15 January 2003: Naas Town Council should be setting aside money every year to provide a proper brochure for the town, Cllr Seamie Moore told the recent Budget meeting of the council.

He was commenting on the situation where a newsletter about the council's activities had not been produced this year.

It wasn't the first time. Cllr Willie Callaghan recalled that when he was chairman of the council, he had 'written a Christmas message' for a newsletter which also hadn't been published.

Cllr Moore said that the council should consider producing a really good promotional brochure on Naas, possibly every five years, and that money should be set aside for it.

Town clerk Declan Kirrane agreed, and added that he would also like to see a promotional video produced by the council, perhaps in association with other interested groups in the town.
