Monasterevin By-Pass due for early start

MONASTEREVIN 21 February 2003: The contract has been signed for the Monasterevin By-Pass, which will be built by Roadbridge Sisk for Kildare County Council.

When completed , the E76 million link will remove 16,000 vehicles a day from Monasterevin. Work is hoped to begin before the end of the summer, and the completion date is in 2005.

The project will link the Kildare by-pass with the Heath-Mayfield scheme being built in partnership by Kildare and Laois county councils.
