Lights for Louisa Bridge

16 October 2003: The Dublin Transportation Office has granted €90,000 to install pedestrian lights at Louisa Bridge in Leixlip and for the construction of a cycle track from the bridge to the new interchange.

The work will facilitate the hundreds of people who use the bus and train every day, and who go up to the Amenities centre.

Meanwhile, Cllr Paul Kelly has called for a speedy relocation of a wall at the Captain’s Hill/Distillery Road junction, in line with the conditions attached to the development of new apartments at Newtown Hill House.

“The dangers are obvious here, with traffic from the nursing home and the apartments trying to get on to the Captain’s Hill,” he says.
