KILCULLEN, 7 October 2002: Waste disposal company KTK Landfill is to hold an information day at its site in Brownstown, Kilcullen, on Thursday next. Anybody interested can visit the site between 3-7pm on the day.
The event is part of the company's commitment to providing information about the site's activities and operations. Information will be available on environmental monitoring, site development and engineering, the waste accepted at the facility and operational methods and practices.
There will also be an opportunity between 3-5pm to tour the site and view the waste handling operations. The company says that anybody unable to make the event can organise their own visit by phoning site manager Mark Heesom at 045 482600.
KTK commenced operations in December 1999 and is licenced by the EPA to receive up to 275,000 tonnes of non-hazardous waste a year.
