New KELT rural development programme

KILDARE GENERAL, 18 June 2002: by Brian Byrne. The new KELT Leader Plus Programme will be launched on Thursday at Punchestown racecourse. KELT, the rural development company for County Kildare, has secured funding totalling over five million euros up to 2006.

The company will be focussing on Quality of Life issues under the new programme, together with initiatives to integrate information and communications technology into rural life.

The guest speaker at the launch, scheduled for 8pm in the De Robeck Restaurant, will be Anna May McHugh, managing director of the National Ploughing Association.

All are welcome to the launch of the programme, and the company’s new website at www.kelt.ie will also be introduced on the night.
