KILCOCK, 7 August 2002: by Bill Trapman. The derelict Kavanagh’s Mill area of Kilcock looks like it finally has a chance of redevelopment, following a rezoning by Kildare councillors.
The decision was made at the recent meeting of the council, with just one dissenting member, Cllr Tony McEvoy.
The development will include retail and residential sections, and the agreement to rezone came following changes made to original plans by the promoters, Dulcedo Developments Ltd.
The changes included a reduction in the height and number of residential segments.
The planning application will now be considered by Kildare County Council’s planninf department.
