Garda warning on guns security

KILDARE GENERAL, 3 October 2002: The garda authorities have issued a strong warning to holders of licenced firearms to be 'extremely security conscious about their guns. This follows a series of thefts recently of firearms from homes and vehicles.

The gardai say a firearm must never be left attended in a vehicle.
