Grants for community groups

20 December 2003: Six community and voluntary groups in South Kildare are to receive grants totalling €23,555. The funding is part of the Scheme of Grants for the voluntary sector and was announced by the Minister of State, Noel Ahern TD.

The groups are:
· The Humpty Dumpty Parent and Toddler Group, Castledermot €1,025
· Athy Travellers Club €7,500
· Irish Wheelchair Association, Woodstock North €8,500
· Mna na Coille Prosperous Women’s Group, Naas €1,080
· Newbridge Access Group Kibelin €1,500
· North West Kildare Co Ltd. Naas €6,000

The funding success has been welcomed by Senator John Dardis.
