Fiat help out with Team Ireland specials

18 June 2003: A local Fiat dealer has supplied a fleet of Fiat Scudo mini-buses to Lucan and Celbridge, who are Host Towns for members of Team Ireland, the second biggest group of competitors in the Special Olympics.

With 450 athletes, coaching staff and support officials, just moving the people and equipment to the numerous training areas and then to the events was going to be a nightmare for the committee. But help was at hand from Donohoes Motor City on Kylemore Road.

Many members of the Ireland soccer team were on hand at Westmanstown Sports Centre to see the Fiat Scudos being handed over to the Host Towns representatives by John Deignan of Donohoes Motor City and Marie Parkes, Light Commercials Director of Fiat Auto Ireland.

Tamara Gervasoni, reigning Rose of Tralee was also there, to wish the Irish competitors all the best in the days and weeks ahead.
