Kildare drama fest moves to Kilcullen

10 October 2003: Kilcullen Town Hall Theatre will be the venue for the 2004 Kildare Drama Festival, representing a first-time move out of the festival's native Kildare Town.

The 45-year-old festival was forced to move because changes to the CYMS Hall in Kildare have made it unsuitable, according to the committee.

It will be run in the first week of March 2004.

Only the foot and mouth situation in 2001 has previously stopped the fesitival taking place in Kildare.
