Diversity exhibition by Celbridge Art Group

CELBRIDGE, 19 June 2002: by Bill Trapman. Diversity is an exhibition of paintings by 38 different artists from Celbridge, Co Kildare who make up the Abbey Art Group, and it is currently at the Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge, scheduled to finish on June 22.

The Abbey art Group was established in 1982 by a number of women living in the Casletown Estate in Celbridge who had an interest in art, and now has an active membership of 40. Members meet regularly for workshops and demonstrations and exhibits annually in Celbridge Library. 'Diversity' is their first major exhibition outside Celbridge.

Amongst the artists included in the exhibition are; Eamonn Burke, Emma Boyce, Martin Campion, Susan Durack, Audrey Nash, Nina Patterson, Don Reynolds, Micheal Molloy and Ann McStavick.
