Cleevaun non-compliance 'will be pursued'

NAAS 21 January 2003: Naas Town Council will be pursuing residents of Cleevaun Estate who haven't yet rectified incorrect connections to surface water and foul sewer systems made in the construction of the estate.

In a recent discussion on items in the Progress Report, Naas town clerk Declan Kirrane said that 90 per cent of householders in the estate had rectified the problems, and the council had for its part undertaken some remedial works to the surface water system.

"Flooding in the cul de sac has also been dealt with," he told councillors.

Cllr Willie Callaghan wondered if the council had made efforts to have the remaining problems rectified, in fairness to those residents who had done so. The town clerk said the council had not done so in recent times, but would do so in the near future.
