School contract is awarded

CELBRIDGE, 4 January 2002: by Brian Byrne. The contract for a EUR 4.06 million permanent school building at the National School at Ballymakealy, Celbridge has now been awarded, following the granting of a licence by Kildare County Council to allow the approved contractor access to the site.

The licence was required because the council still owns the site. It is hoped that the pupils at Ballymakealy will be able to move to the permanent buildings in a year’s time.
