New childcare centre

05 December 2003: A new community childcare centre is under construction at Allenwood.

The commencement of the works was marked today by the minister for finance, Charlie McCreevy TD, who planted a tree on the site.

He also presented a prize to 9-year-old Niall Coogan of Woodlawn in Allenwood, who chose the name and designed the logo for the 'Bright Sparks' centre.
