SFAI Round-Up December 16th

Under 16s managed to defeat Edenderry in a tough game played in freezing conditions of minus -3C degrees. They were drawn at home to Willow Park from Athlone in the next round.

Willow park came away with a narrow 0-1 win to face Cabh Ramblers in the final 32. Celtic were disappointed to concede a soft penalty after 3 minutes and deserved to get more from the game as they hit the woodwork on 3 occassions and had the ball cleared off the line twice.

Kilcock Celtic's U15s have made it through to the last Round of 32. They managed a fine 2-1 victory away to Mountmellick last saturday. Well done lads. Celtic faced Greenwood from Cork in the next round. After a very competitive close game Greenwood scored the only goal of the game in the last five minutes to progress to the final 16.

Previous

The U16s are in an never ending saga with Edenderry Town. The game has been abandoned and cancelled due to weather contitions on 3 occassions. The next scheduled game is Nov 30th Monday night 8.00 in Edenderry.

The U14s were very unlucky not to advance to the next round when they were narrowly defeated by Abbeyleix 3-2.

Well done to all the teams and good luck to those still in the competition.

The U13s and U12s had good performances againt Portlaoise and St. Anthony's but were unluckly not to advance. Well done to all the players involved.

In the next round, U14s are away to Abbeyleix, U15s are home to Wicklow Rovers while the U16s will be away to either Edenderry or Portlaoise.
