Kildare Sports Partnership

In 2001 County Kildare was one of 12 successful areas chosen by the Irish Sports Council to pilot the Local Sports Partnership initiative. The role of the sports partnership is to provide a framework for sport at local level and to co-ordinate the various interests to ensure that local provision is sufficient and that resources are used effectively. DARA: Delivering Access Rights for All

The DARA Project implements the principles of the Barcelona Declaration, dedicated to the disabled and their living environment.

County Research and Statistics Office

The County Research and Statistics Office was established under the 2006-2008 CDB action plan. The role of the office is to co-ordinate the collation and analysis of agency data held at various sources throughout the county and to provide a centrally based data resource. The first output of the office has been the publication of Rural Urban Dynamics in Kildare, socio-economic patterns & trends.

Kildare Local Anti Poverty Strategy

A local anti poverty strategy (LAPS) describes a strategic approach to the elimination of poverty at local level involving all relevant stakeholders.

Programme for Improved Cohesion

The Programme for Improved Cohesion was set up to produce a more co-ordinated engagement by the state with communities around the country as they pursue their own development.   

Kildare Volunteer Bureau

The Kildare Volunteer Bureau is the organisation tasked with the development of all aspects of Volunteering in County Kildare.

Comhairle na nOg

Comhairle na nÓg is a junior council for children and young people aged 7-17.
