Kildare Local Anti Poverty Strategy

Back to Special Projects Page

A local anti poverty strategy (LAPS) describes a strategic approach to the elimination of poverty at local level involving all relevant stakeholders.

Kildare County Council is currently facilitating the development of a local anti poverty strategy through the County Development Board. Local authorities are responsible for the delivery of national anti poverty strategy (NAPS) targets at local level both as a lead partner in areas such as housing and accommodation, or as a partner in the delivery of targets in education, health or unemployment through the CDB.
