New Book: Curragh Life in 1916

Celebrating the Centenary of the 1916 Rising

The Curragh Local History Group is delighted to announce the publication of Curragh Life in 1916. The book celebrates the Centenary of the 1916 Rising through the stories of people who worked and lived there in 1916.

From the story of prominent nationalist and republican Eamonn O’Modhrain to the story of Maj. General William Henry Lowe, who took the surrender from Patrick Pearse, the book provides a fascinating look into a very distinct time in the Curragh’s history.

Copies of the book are available from any committee member or by contacting clhg@curragh.info
