Mr. Joseph O’Connor handed in the following notice of motion for next meeting – “That as the International Motor Race will take place on Thursday, 2nd July, this Association considers it would be advisable to have the Dublin market held on Wednesday, 1st July, so that those connected with the live stock trade may be given an opportunity of attending at this great event and that the markets Committee be asked to make the necessary arrangements.” The members of the Committee present favoured the suggestion and the Secretary was instructed to publicly invite an expression of opinion from those who cannot attend on Thursday next…
