Alcohol is associated with various forms of harm to mother and foetus and the issue needs to be promoted to all women who are pregnant or thinking of getting pregnant.. Please click the link below to read on!
Foetal alcohol harm is increasing and the harm is becoming more serious probably because much of the latest research confirms that womens drinking habits have changed in the past decade. Women are now drinking far more than in the past and their consumption is rising closer to that of men. This is not acceptable because women have more fat compared to lean tissue such as muscle, and they are officially much smaller than men, the result being they do not tolerate alcohol as well as men. During menstruation (having your monthly period) women absorb alcohol much faster due to hormonal changes this leads to women getting much more drunk on a drinking occasion.Rarely there is any reference to this in the media so please take note it is very important, PLEASE do not drink as much when you around the time of you period, you will prevent all that goes with excess alcohol.
Now the foetus (your baby). I am going to be graphic..........
It is now known without any dought that drinking any amount while pregnant will harm your baby to some degree and the more you drink the more risk of harm. If you are pregnant DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL!!! You have been told and I will back up what I am telling you with hard undisputed science if necessary.
Now think about this and answer:
Would you give your 2 year old toddler a measure of vodka in his / her bottle? No you wouldnt!
Would you let you 12 year old son or daughter go out for 4 or 5 pints of guinness? NO you wouldnt.
Third question, why would you feed your unborn baby alcohol in any amount? Your bloodstream is your baby's blood stream, one and the same, you get drunk your baby gets drunk, but your baby's liver is not develloped properly, its nervous system needs quality nutrients and alcohol is an anti nutrient, it destroys your vitamins and minerals and this is bad because your baby becomes nutriient deficient just when it needs nutrients most. The latest scince makes it very clear now, we know, there is no dispute that alcohol is a poison and very toxic poison to your foetus (your new baby!)
SO PLEASE PLEASE NO DRINK WHEN PREGNANT.
You know the truth about alcohol do the right thing now, dont drink when pregnant
