About our Group
There have been various committees over the years concerned with the conservation of Grey Abbey. This Committe was established in December 2003 with the first Committee elected in January 2004.Monthly meetings are held on the First Thursday of every nonth in the Parish Centre, Kildare Town, Co. Kildare.
At present the group consists of about 6 members, who regularly attend committe meetings but it has a wider support base of people it can call on if help is needed.
While the website is designed to gather and publish information there are more practical matters involved such as the upkeep of the adjoining graveyard. This would not be possible without the help of the local CE Scheme and the commitment and dedication of the workers from the Town attached to the Scheme - Many Thanks!
