Triona Cahill is a visual artist and milliner with a BA degree in Fine Art (Dunlaoighaire IADT/ The University of Hertfordshire, London).

Her creativity with a paintbrush or needle and thread is enjoyed on a part-time basis as she is also a primary school teacher, enjoying and encouraging many wonderfully creative young minds.

As a painter she is Inspired by nature and explores colour and the delicate, fragile and often overlooked lines and forms of the natural landscape. As a milliner she is Inspired by 1920's fashion and the beauty and potential of all things old.

"Frozen In Time" is a collection of work which captures personal memories of people and places. She works with preserving times past, giving new life to materials, moments and memories which have the unfortunate ability of being discarded or lost in time.

The paintings capture memories of personal and meaningful landscapes and elements of nature; ones which ignited delight and passion from her experience within them. These pieces reflect her love of nature, its beautiful and chaotic growth, and the rhythms, patterns and changes which the elements create within it.

Her hats and headpieces are made from materials personal and meaningful to her: lace, material, buttons, pearls, beads, etc. sculpted to preserve memories of people, places and times past.

All Welcome
