Bio: Born in Dublin, Jonathan is a Kildare based visual artist. After graduating from the National College of Art and Design he went on to lead a very successful career as an award winning illustrator and graphic designer. In 2006 the call of painting altered his course and he dedicated himself to artistic development while simultanouusly working in the design industry. Positive reaction to paintings exhibited during this period spurred him on and in August 2015 he decided the next step was to commit full time to painting

Artists Statement: I paint what I experience around me: the visual and the psychological as acutely as I can. I get completely lost in places and objects. They resonate with so many stories, sounds, feelings and memories. I’m becoming ever increasingly aware that hindsight reveals far more about my work than anything I could ever contrive upfront. I’m happy to allow this to continue, for now.
