Ireland’s biggest annual Drift event Global Warfare returns for 2015 and this time it’s serious. ‘Global Warfare 2??? the revenge, will see some of our 2014 visitors return but this time on their terms and in their own cars, determined to break Irish Drifting’s 11 year unbeaten streak.

2014’s inaugural event produced some of the most spectacular drifting ever seen in IDC as well as the closest twin battles with the new course mixing up the normal pecking order. The event is back for this year on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th of July.

Global Warfare takes Drifting at Mondello Park to a new level with the fastest layout available at the Co. Kildare track in use for two days of action, including the spectacular outside wall at the ultra fast first turn. Having failed to conquer the Irish in 2014 an International field of drivers will return for another attempt and two days of intense action is guaranteed.

Saturday July 4th will be mainly about Semi-Pro and Rookie competition with some practice for Pro Drivers.

The Semi-pro competition will be completed over the course of the day with the top drivers from this earning the chance to come back on Sunday to try and qualify for the main event.

Sunday 5th will be the second running of Global Warfare and round 3 of the Irish Drift Championship.

The day will start with the Pro drivers and Semi Pro graduates attempting to qualify through a series of single car runs. The top eight drivers will make it straight through to the Top 16 run-off with the next 16 headed for ‘Sudden Death’. Next up will be the first of the twin battles as the last chance ‘Sudden Death’ battles decide the last of the qualifiers for the top 16 run off’s.

Following a short break the real action will begin with the Top 16 which will decide whether or not the Irish stars can hold on to their 11 year unbeaten record.
