19.15 pm Mick Rowley Downed Luftwaffe Aircraft
A Luftwaffe Heinkel He 111 bomber crashed above Kiltealy village in October 1941. None of the crew survived. The talk will chart all aspects of the crash including the recovery of the aircraft and the subsequent investigation.
19.55 pm Liam Kenny The advent of firepower on the battlefield 1899
"The Boer War marked a turning point in the application of fire and manoeuvre on the battlefield. British commanders' deployment of troops in rigid formations was punished by mobile Boer commandos firing modern rifle and artillery equipment."
20.45 Mick Murphy That there was significant Republican activity in Co. Kildare during the War of Independence.
