COURSE TITLE: LEIXLIP HERITAGE PROJECT

DURATION: 26 weeks, recruitment ongoing

COURSE AIM: To equip trainees with the necessary skills to gain employment and to encourage an appreciation of the rich heritage of Leixlip.

Assisting with the organisation of the annual Leixlip Festival

Information Technology
Word Processing
Spreadsheets
Databases
Life and Social Skills
CV Preparation
Clerical/Administration
Communications

PARTICIPANTS PROFILE: Age 17 + with an interest in learning new skills, engaging in practical projects and working as a team member. Ideally, applicants should have a Leaving Certificate standard of education.

METHODS: 26 weeks of formal training with a heavy reliance on "hands-on" practical training coupled with related subjects.   The instruction will contain Practical Exercises, Project Work, Individual Assignments and Assessments.
