Post Office Volunteers

Three members of the post office staff at Kildare – Messrs. R. Moloney, P. A. Courtney and P. H. Penman – have volunteered for army service and will leave Kildare on Monday next to join their units. While in Kildare they were very popular with the public as well as with the members of the post office staff. They have been made the recipients of valuable presentations by their colleagues. Soon after the opening of the war Messrs. B. Dowdy, R. Roberts and V. Foley volunteered from the Kildare post office and are at present on active service in France.
