Spring/Summer Programme 2015

 

Saturday 28 February. Raising of the Welsh Flag, Naas Town Hall, by NLHG members, 3.00 pm. All welcome.

Tuesday 3 March: ‘In search of Mausolea Hibernica,’ an illustrated talk by Ger McCarthy. Naas Community Library, 7.00 pm. All welcome.

Tuesday 7 April: ‘Three men who met by accident,’ an illustrated talk by Oliver McCrossan. Naas Community Library, 7.00 pm. All welcome.

Tuesday 5 May: ‘Know your town’ – St. Corban’s and Maudlins Cemetery Walk and Talk by NLHG members. Meet at St. Corban’s Cemetery 7.30 pm.

Thursday 21 May: ‘Know your town’ – Workhouse and Fair Green Walk and Talk by NLHG members. Meet at Famine Cemetery 7.30 pm.

Saturday 20 June: Annual outing to Tullamore Heritage Centre, Charleville Castle and Durrow. Booking essential. More details later.

Saturday July 18: ‘A short trip to Celbridge.’ Meet at Ballycane Church 1.00 pm.

Heritage Week

Tuesday 25 August: ‘Storming the Dardanelles – Naas men at Gallipoli,’ an illustrated talk by James Durney in Naas Community Library at 7.00 pm. All Welcome.

Wednesday 26 August: ‘Know your town – the Churches of Naas.’ A leisurely stroll around the town led by Paddy Behan and Stan Hickey. Meet at 7.40 pm. All welcome.
