Letters of 1916

The ‘Letters of 1916’ is delighted to announce its move from Trinity College Dublin to the National University of Ireland Maynooth. The Letters of 1916 project  will enter its next phase at ‘An Foras Feasa’, The Institute for Research in Irish Historical and Cultural Traditions.

To mark the occasion, we welcome you to join us for the ‘Kildare launch’ of the project on 8 May 2014 at NUI Maynooth, from 5-8pm (Iontas Building, North Campus). Join us for talks, to learn about the transcription of letters, the digitization process, and to meet the team behind the project. Bring letters you might have at home within our collection period, come and transcribe some of the hundreds of letters in the database, or simply join us for the reception.

NUI Maynooth Scanning and Transcription Labs open at 5.00, Formal launch

begins at 6.00, Reception at 7.00
